Brings a new meaning to "Laying on hands", doesn't it. Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee member Lonnie Latham, known for his rabidly bigoted stance on homosexuality, arrested for propositioning undercover (male) cop and offering to pay him for oral sex.
His defense: "I was set up. I was in the area pastoring to police."
Apparently he uses the Catholic definition of "pastoring", which could get him in trouble from his employers even without the "being a closeted, self-hating gay, like all homophobes" thing.

Thursday is Entertainment Day. Free or free-trial online multiplayer games. FPSs, MMORPGs, RTSs, "none of the above"s, and all kinds of combinations. Absolutely no claim is made as to the quality of any of them - some of them I've heard of, some of them I haven't.
Public Domain Torrents: Hundreds of movies, entirely in the public domain, for download.
Come on, how can you resist Hercules Against The Moonmen, Ninja Death III, or King Of The Zombies? (There are also good movies in here with the complete crap. iPod and PDA-sized versions available for many titles.)
Finally, 40 things that only happen in movies. "Guns are like disposable razors. If you run out of bullets, just throw the gun away. you will always find another one."

Also, Talking about the proposed digital TV switchover in the US. Quote of the day: "Owners of outmoded TV sets will be eligible for two vouchers, worth $40 each, to help buy converter boxes that will enable today's analog TV sets to receive digital signals. Yes, the very same federal government that is cutting back on college loans and food stamps will soon be issuing TV vouchers."

I love squid with all of my being.
 by Skot Olsen
"When a ship is sinking or in trouble, a sailor's thoughts often turn to what fate may await him in the unfriendly sea. Drowning would be a welcomed death when compared to be devoured by any number of aquatic horrors. Saint Architeuthis is the one to pray to and to ask for mercy in this case. In this painting, the last man on board the ship, is visited by the saint and is receiving the blessing of a quick and speedy death by water rather than by teeth and tentacle."

Friday Tradition, Week 8 This one's being posted early, but shouldn't show on your Friends list until some unholy hour of Friday morning. Consider it a test, and a Thursday bonus for looking at my actual page.
Gravity Kills - Personal Jesus
If you're going to repost it, please either rehost the file or link to this post. Don't hotlink directly to the MP3.
EDIT: I have given up on this foolish "posting to the future" notion. Instead, by Royal Decree, today is now Friday.
