The story centers on an attack on America's computer infrastructure that begins to shut the country down. The mysterious figure behind the scheme has figured out every digital angle but never counts on Willis' old-fashioned, "analog" character, John McClane.

Yeah, I can see the script now:

[MCCLANE, twin magnums in his hands, shirt torn, blood caked on his brow, bursts into VILLAIN'S mother's basement.]

MCCLANE: Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker!

[VILLAIN, an acne-ridden 16-year-old boy, pauses from browsing MySpace for illicit and incriminating photos of the popular kids in his high school. VILLAIN whips around in his chair to gasp at MCCLANE. A noticible brown, wet spot forms in VILLAIN's crotch area.]

VILLAIN: Wh-who are you?! How did you find me?!

MCCLANE: Easy, kid. The RIAA and MPAA tracked down your location for me. You shouldn't have downloaded that copy of Brokeback Mountain and those three N'Sync albums.

VILLAIN, clearly confused: But I never downloaded those. Someone must have been using my wireless network to steal--

[MCCLANE opens fire, hitting VILLAIN repeatedly in the face and chest and blowing away his computer and monitor in a shower of sparks and glass.]

MCCLANE: Yippie-ki-yay.
