I'm done. Completely done. The next time I have to deal with students is Tuesday morning, when I throw them in front of on a train moving 200+ km/h to Frankfurt and then let airport security goons herd them the rest of the way home.

There is a much longer and more interesting rant on this topic. It is hiding on my laptop, which still has no internet connection. I've stopped trying, since it really doesn't matter at this point.

There is an important question, however, to ask all of y'all: You're doomed to pages and pages of commentary and pictures from me. This is guaranteed, and, frankly, it's my normal stock in trade anyway. The question is, should I make one (extremely long) post of all my ramblings and notes from my trip and then follow with pictures and commentary spread out over the days that follow, or should I divide things up section-by-section and make many posts over several day, chronicalling my adventures in pieces with the pictures integrated?

You get all the material, regardless. The question is whether you want all the commentary up front and the pictures after with commentary-lite, or the commentary and pictures integrated but slower in coming.

Voting begins now!

I'd like the integrated comments/pictures that come in installments. If that's not going to mean more work for you.

I'm going to do the work anyway.

The integration just determines how much I put up *in the current form* and how much I leave for a few days.

Why not put the whole thing in one go?

Because that would require several days (really, probably only about 8 hours, but I have to go back to work SOMETIMES) of resizing, fixing, and commentary before I could post ANYTHING.

And that would frustrate me.

Ah.

I would prefer the writing to go with the appropriate photos.

Whatever you want, as long as I get two things from you:

1. Your secret to not going batshit insane stir crazy while stuck in Bonn for 10 days.
2. You must punish [info]torrain for the Donner comment. You know she deserves it.

Yes, yes, try to contain your jealousy about not thinking of it first.

I vote several posts over time, by the way.

I only spent 2 days in Bonn itself, not counting stops for a quick bout of shopping or dates for dinner with the locals in Bonn, which is roughly central.

The rest of the time, we've been travelling. Köln, Aachen, Ahrweiler, six billion small towns up and down the Rhine...

It's been fun, except for 4 or 5 of the 27 students. If I could have dumped two of them in the river, the other three would be fine - they're only bad in the company of the inspirations - then everything would have been much better all around.

I'd prefer the pictures and commentary integrated because if I've seen one before, I'll have forgotten the context for the other.

I do not care how you do it, so long as you show us the pictures!!

And I'm still mad at you for not dehydrating me and taking me with. Butthead. *grin*

I prefer you do it in installments. If you do it all in one go, not only will I get frustrated waiting for all the pictures to load, but I'll probably get exhausted wading through all that text. I prefer chapters with cliff-hangers, please.

Another vote for installments with integrated pictures. I'm a sucker for the pics, but I will definitely forget the context if it doesn't go with the commentary.

The chances of people reading any of it increases with the amount of parts you break it into.

Believe me, I'm quite aware of that. The question is more on what the "market", as it were, will tolerate - if they want the larger posts or more smaller posts over time.

I'm going with the crowd. Integrated pictures, smaller posts, if possible.
